Once ready, it sits in my electro-tank for 14–40 hours, depending on its size and copper needs. This coating naturally wears off over time.\u003cbr\u003eCopper never rusts—when it encounters moisture, it protects itself by creating a living patina. The oxidized layer is surface only; the metal can be polished if you prefer it brighter. I include a small polishing cloth sample with every order + simple care instructions—like taking off your jewelry before showering or swimming.
