Crescent Moon & Orange Jack O' Lantern Earrings • Handmade Copper Hoops

I hope you don't mind everyone looking at you when you wear these gothic hoops! Their flashy crystals and dark patina bring a lot of attention! Through a slow electroforming process, I combined the flashiest little Aurora Borealis-style Swarovski crescent moons and sweet little orange Jack o' lantern faces. This gave them a sturdy copper setting, which I rapidly oxidized to provide bold contrast.

🍄 Your celestial gothic earrings measure approximately: 2.25" in total length, and hoops are approx. .88" in width. They are pretty lightweight as well.

🍄 Choose your ear hardware. Currently these hoops are set on standard steel wires. I also offer silver-plated French hooks as a free upgrade for stretched ears. They fit through your tunnel. You can also always use the regular wires by placing them right below your tunnel-- some people like adding little plastic earring backs too (let me know if you need any backs added to your earrings! crystaljewelryaffair@gmail.com). French hooks are great for non-stretched ears too.

🍄 HOW IT'S MADE: there are many layers of prep I do before electroforming a handmade piece. Once ready, it sits in my electro-tank for 14–40 hours, depending on its size and copper needs. The copper collects molecule by molecule, creating strength and unique texture.

I rapidly oxidized the metal, then coated it with a very thin layer of jewelry lacquer to help preserve the patina. This coating naturally wears off over time.
Copper never rusts—when it encounters moisture, it protects itself by creating a living patina. The oxidized layer is surface only; the metal can always be polished if you prefer it brighter. I include a small polishing cloth sample with every order + simple care instructions—like taking off your jewelry before showering or swimming. Let the copper do its thing as it adapts with you on life’s adventures, creating a sacred bond between the two of you. The cloth WILL take the patina off, so only use if you want to lighten the copper in the future.
